Flash: Lviv celebrates WW2 criminal Stepan Bandera and his Nazi UPA militia

(Social media)

October 14 is the anniversary of the foundation in 1942 of a Nazi militia –the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA)– and the eve of another one, that of the denazification [Russian expression] of its political leader Stepan Bandera.

In Lviv, still fruitful womb in far western Ukraine of an endemic Nazism, people celebrate with various flags in 2026. One for example is displaying the Schwarze Sonne [black sun, a legacy of Reichsführer SS Heinrich Himmler] and in the front rank, two others are featuring the insignia of the 3rd Army Corps, offshoot in the regular army of Azov, a modern Nazi organization.

German operative and fascist terrorist in the same region, which was Polish before WW2, Stepan Bandera cheered in 1941 the invasion of Soviet Union and stated

The German army, under the leadership of Adolf Hitler, is establishing a new order in the world and is assisting us in creating a Ukrainian State that will cooperate with the National Socialist Great Germany

In July 1941, the Ukrainian nationalists welcome the German army in Zhovkva: Heil Hitler ! Glory to Hitler ! Glory to Bandera ! Long live the Ukrainian independent State ! Long live leader Stepan Bandera

In July, he unilaterally declared an independent Ukraine. Germany disagreed on that initiative and temporarily interned him, first under house arrest in Berlin, then in the VIP quarters of Sachsenhausen camp, where his conditions of detention would have been a dream for the forced laborers. He received the status of prisoner of honor, his own apartment, controlled freedom of movement and travel and even limited permission to continue pursuing political activities

Signed UPA, a leaflet in Ukrainian orders all Poles and their families, on pain of death, to leave their homes and the Ukrainian lands within 24 hours (World War II Museum in Gdańsk)

The UPA was formed on October 14, 1942, did not fight Germany, but with complacency of the German authorities, carried out mass killing and ethnic cleansing. At least 50,000, perhaps 100,000 Polish civilians, were assassinated with savagery between 1943 and 1945. In 1944, Adolf Hitler freed Bandera, who called on his nationalists followers to fight Soviet Union. After WW2, the KGB managed to kill him in Munich on October 15, 1959

On October 14, 2022, Ukraine celebrates the 80th anniversary of the UPA (Ukrainian Institute of National Memory)

With a stamp, Ukraine celebrated his 100th birthday on January 1, 2009, four years after the so-called Orange Revolution. After the West-backed right-wing coup in Kiev in 2014, the country started celebrating the foundation of the UPA.
