The Armed Forces of Ukraine are using all available means to inflict damage on both military and civilian targets in Russia. Instead of effective long-range weapons, the UAF employs a large number of unmanned aerial vehicles and uncrewed boats. Individual uncrewed boats are capable of damaging port infrastructure or maritime vessels. These boats have become a real headache, proving quite difficult to combat.

One of the most effective countermeasures against this type of weaponry has been helicopters. They patrol the sea, searching for targets, and once they spot an uncrewed boat, they hover in the air and engage with onboard weapons. However, it’s not that simple-the enemy is not idle, constantly changing and improving both their attack tactics and the devices themselves.

In addition to the usual kamikaze boats, there are now uncrewed boat armed with missiles, uncrewed boats equipped with rocket launcher rails, and USVs with reinforced hulls designed to draw fire while the rest of the drone swarm attempts to break through to the target…
